These are the terms for using shopcoffee.com. We've kept them short and readable. They're real terms, not decoration — but we're not trying to bury anything in them either.
Use the site normally and we'll never have a problem. Our writing and design are ours; don't wholesale copy them. Our product links are affiliate links (see the disclosure). The site is provided as-is. If you ever buy something from us, the terms of that sale will be presented at checkout and will govern the purchase itself.
This site is operated by Aegis, LLC, doing business as "ShopCoffee" ("ShopCoffee," "we," "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site — that's the whole deal.
Today, shopcoffee.com is primarily an editorial and informational site: coffee buying guides, brewing guides, gear reviews, and information about a coffee brand we're preparing to launch. Online checkout is not open yet. When it opens, purchases will be governed by separate sale terms (covering pricing, shipping, returns, and the like) presented at checkout. Nothing on this page is an offer to sell you coffee today.
The text, design, layout, logos, and original photography on this site are owned by us or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You're welcome to:
Please don't republish whole articles, scrape the site to rebuild it elsewhere, or pass our work off as your own. If you want to use something more substantially, just ask us — we're reasonable.
Many product links on this site are affiliate links: if you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Some pages also show ads. Full detail — including how we handle the conflicts that come with both — is on our advertising & affiliate disclosure.
We write our reviews and rankings independently. A link earning us a commission does not change what we recommend or the order we recommend it in.
We work hard to keep our guides accurate, but coffee gear prices, specifications, and availability change constantly, and the products we write about are sold by other companies, not us. Treat prices as approximate and always confirm the current details on the retailer's own page before buying. We're not responsible for a third-party retailer's prices, stock, shipping, or service.
If you join our waitlist, you're asking us to email you about our launch. You can ask us to remove you at any time — just reply or email hello@shopcoffee.com. How we handle that address is covered in our privacy policy.
Don't use the site to break the law, and don't try to break the site. Specifically, please don't attempt to gain unauthorized access to it, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, scrape it at a scale that degrades service, upload anything malicious, or impersonate us. Security researchers acting in good faith are welcome to report issues to hello@shopcoffee.com — we appreciate it.
The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. That includes any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the information is complete or current at every moment.
Our guides are general information to help you make your own decision. They are not professional advice, and following them is your call.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShopCoffee (Aegis, LLC) and the people who work on it won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of — or inability to use — the site, even if we've been advised such damages were possible. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain of these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
We link out to retailers, manufacturers, and reference sources. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, policies, or practices. A link isn't an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.
We may update these terms as the site grows — most obviously when checkout opens. When we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date below. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located there. If you're a consumer in a place with laws that give you additional non-waivable rights, nothing here takes those away.
Questions about these terms? hello@shopcoffee.com — a real person reads it.
